To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs.
Lions work to improve the lives of the visually and hearing impaired. We help needy individuals get free eye care, glasses and hearing aids. We also offer retina screening in schools with the Kids Sight Camera [pic] for early detection of many eye problems such as retina bleeding and macular degeneration.

Lions fight for better diabetes relief. We run initiatives such as free blood sugar
screenings and programs to improve the lives of those living with diabetes and
helping others from developing type two diabetes. Each participant receives a card with their results which includes a recommendation to see a doctor, if needed.
Lions take on projects that will create a sustainable and healthy future for
generations to come. From recycling programs to ensuring areas have access
to clean water, we’re working hard to keep the earth in its best condition.
Lions develop strategic partnerships to help improve outcomes for children
with cancer. We provide support for the needs of children and families
affected by childhood cancer through impactful service activities.
Lions offer grants, programs, and initiatives to provide meals and nutrition for
those in need. The Mount Dora Annual Christmas Parade is loved by thousands and is sponsored by the Mount Dora Lions. At this parade thousands of pounds of food are collected and donated to the Lake Cares Food Pantry.
When natural disasters strike, Lions are among the first to offer help.
Lions help survivors with supplies, funds and manpower. Lions International offers disaster grants, so Lions can do even more for communities devastated by hurricanes, floods, fires and other major events.
